Being an ardent admirer of music since childhood, I’ve always been participating in music events and competitions. A heartfelt vote of gratitude to my dad who introduced me to this world of calmness. In addition to music, I used to engage myself in debates, anchoring, Hindi and Urdu literature. With a wide range of interests and hailing from a small town in Uttarakhand, I couldn’t get much exposure to hone my talents. Finally, my prayers were answered when I got a ticket to the UNIVERSITY OF DELHI.
I was almost hopeless about not being able to polish my hobbies, when I got introduced to RIYAAZ – THE INDIAN MUSIC SOCIETY of my college. This was a gateway to give a new flight to my passion. It has been two and a half years since I’m connected to Riyaaz. And it gives me an immense pleasure to tell the readers that it made me turn into a whole new person.
I’ve participated in various competitions, won praises and accolades which made my morale and confidence soar high. With such achievements added to my crown, I’ve also served as the GENERAL SECRETARY of my society in my sophomore year, and currently I’m holding the post of the PRESIDENT of the same. It would not have been possible without the continuous support of my friends, seniors and teammates who always cheered for me while I would perform on stage.
I’ve always been searching for a platform to showcase my talent, for I understand stage as a synonym for self expression. Hence, art and literature will always be counted as my saviours even if I possess a background in commerce.
By the grace of God, I’m happy with all the things I’ve experienced in all these years that made me turn into an expressive person I am today.
