“Getting into Delhi University was the only thing I thought about for two years, I did get in but not into the college I wished for. But I was equally happy.
I have always been a mediocre kid. It did not really stop me from trying out everything, from singing to drawing. I had this standard set by my sister, who was good at everything, so eventually i gave up all of it. I wasn’t open about how I felt with my family, so I used to pour my heart out to my friends. But life doesn’t go the easy way, so I had my fair share of betrayal in friendships and heartbreaks. After all the chaos, I started drawing and doodling again, it was like an escape for me, it made me calm, happy and satisfied with what I was doing.
But then came the two most important years of school, when your college, future is all at stake. I didn’t believe in myself at that time, thinking it was the easy way out, went for commerce, my sister and parents were very supportive though. But soon realised it wasn’t.
At that time, even though my parents wanted me to get into Delhi University, everyone thought I wouldn’t. I took this as a challenge and started working hard, that’s when I met my best friend/bf , how thankful I am for him being there. All that hard work and positive motivation helped me get good grades. Now I’m studying economics, have my own art page and just started my YouTube channel.
You ask me what I’ve learnt!? To never let anyone, NO ONE tell you what you can do and what you cannot. Trust yourself, everything works out, it always does.”
